Cinco de Mayo DIY Flower Fun

I love Cinco de Mayo! And not only because I met my hubby 11 (gasp!) years ago on this very holiday, but also because it’s just such a happy, colorful fun day! My kids love getting out all our decorations and making a beautiful tablescape. This year we wanted to add some fun whimsical flowers to the mix and I loved how they turned out. The kids picked out the flowers with me and then we headed over to a Mexican grocery store to get these fun cans to use as vases. The guy thought I was crazy that I wanted to buy 6 pounds of Sliced Green Pickled JalapeƱo Peppers, but I knew it was going to be the perfect size for our flowers.

It’s super easy to get this look! Just get a few cans of Mexican food with bright colors or fun images. We went with La Morena Chipotle and Pickled Peppers because I loved the fab woman on the front and the bright orange color. I also grabbed another can of tomatoes that I liked the look of. Then empty and fill! Boom.

Then build your fab tablescape around it! We love bringing out the fiesta necklaces and maracas! Fun fact: I made the chili pepper plate and bowl in Ixtapa!

Now pour some sangria into your Sippy Cup and enjoy!
